With combination skin, you can have two kinds of skin at the same time. Your cheeks may be dry or simply not oily, but your T-zone – the ‘T’ formed by your forehead, nose and chin – is oily. The T-zone area has more sebaceous oil glands than other parts of the face. The pores in this area are also larger, in order to accommodate the large flow of oil produced.
You may need separate products to deal with the different skin types on your face because you should treat different skin types, even on the same face, differently. Many ingredients that are appropriate for oily skin aren’t appropriate for dry or normal skin.
Combo Skin Care Tips
While it is a little more in depth, this type of skin is easily managed by using the appropriate products for each area.
- Care for the oily part of the skin using the guidelines for Oily Skin.
- The dry part of the skin should be cared for using the guidelines for Dry Skin.
- If you have normal skin in some places, follow the guidelines for Normal Skin.
